Judge enters not guilty pleas for Richardson, back in court March 5 for slayings

Judge Janet Sutton entered not guilty pleas on all counts for Derek Richardson during his arraignment hearing Tuesday, Feb. 19, in District 7 of Clay County Circuit Court.

Richardson has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of abandonment of a corpse for the deaths of Tamara Sparks in 2011 and Nicoleone Reed in 2012. Sparks was found near 120th and Eastern in Clay County, just south of Missouri Highway 92. Reed was found near 134th and Scott Road in Kearney.
