Mid-Continent Public Library received $53,950 in two grants for technology upgrades and educational enrichment. The technology grant will give the library $35,000 to acquire new communication devices that will enhance service to patrons with hearing and speech impairments. The educational enrichment grant will provide $18,950 to implement a literacy program for youth ages 12 to 18.

“This grant will allow Mid-Continent Public Library to continue to provide Missourians with outstanding resources,” Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander said. “These resources combined with the hard work and dedication of Mid-Continent Public Library’s staff help make Missouri libraries among the best in the nation.”
